Özet
Bu çalışmada Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi’nde lisans düzeyinde turizm eğitimi alan öğrencilerin, çalıştıkları ya da staj yaptıkları otel işletmelerini çevre duyarlılığı açısından değerlendirmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu açıdan, öğrencilerin çevreye verdikleri önemi ve çalıştıkları işletmelerin çevreye yönelik uygulamalarını nasıl değerlendirdikleri önem-performans analiziyle belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında 164 öğrenciden anket tekniğiyle veri toplanmıştır. Turizmde istihdam edilecek potansiyel kişiler olan öğrencilerin sektörel bilgileri ve tecrübeleri ışığında yaptıkları değerlendirmeler son derece önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre katılımcıların en çok; kâğıt, teneke, plastik, şişe vb. geri dönüşümüne önem verdiği belirlenmiştir. Diğer taraftan, kullanılmış, dönüştürülebilir ürünlerin satın alınması ve kullanılması ise otellerde en düşük düzeyde uygulanmaktadır.

Abstract
This study focuses on Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University undergraduate tourism students’ evaluation of the hotel enterprises that they are working for as a staff member or a trainee in terms of environmental awareness. In this respect, it was aimed to determine the students’ perceptions regarding the environment and how they evaluate the practices of hotel enterprises toward the environment by carrying out importance-performance analysis. Within the framework of the study data were collected from 164 students through conducting a questionnaire. Since these students are potential employees for the tourism sector, their evaluations through sectoral knowledge and experiences are of vital importance. The results of the study showed that the participants value the recycling of paper, tin, plastic, bottle and etc. the most. On the other hand, purchasing/using post consumer recyclable products are rarely applicable in the hotels.
