Özet
Tarihi eser koruma ve onarım çalışmalarında amaç, yöntem ve yapılacak işlemlerin belirlenmesinde ve esere uygulanmasında uluslararası kabul görmüş belgelerde açıklanan etik ilkelere uygun hareket etmek gerekmektedir. Ancak restorasyonda karar alma süreçleri ve restorasyon etik ilkelerine uygunluk alanlarındaki bilimsel araştırma azlığı, restorasyon çalışmalarında istenmeyen uygulamaların ortaya çıkmasına neden olmaktadır. Tarihi eserlerdeki tahribatlar da restorasyon işlemleri de esere özgü olduğundan restorasyon etik değerlendirmeleri, doğrudan restorasyon uygulaması üzerinden yapılmalıdır. Bu çalışmada Atatürk’ün İstanbul ve Ankara’daki Cenaze Töreni adlı fotoğraf albümüne uygulanan restorasyon çalışmasının restorasyon amaç ve ilkelerine göre değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Albüm restorasyonu çalışmasının amacı, Caple’ın RIP üçgeni modeline göre analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın restorasyon ilkelerine uygunluk değerlendirmesi ise çalışma kapsamında alınan önemli kararların; Sürdürülebilirlik, Özgünlük, Minimum Müdahale ve Geri Dönüşlük restorasyon ilkelerine göre irdelenmesi yoluyla yapılmıştır.

Abstract
It is necessary to act in accordance with the ethical principles explained in internationally accepted documents in the determination of the purpose, method and procedures to be carried out of the restoration of historical artifacts and their application to the work. However, the scarcity of scientific studies in the areas of decision-making processes in restoration and compliance with restoration ethical principles causes undesirable applications in restoration studies. Since the destructions and restoration processes in historical artifacts are unique to the artifact, restoration ethics assessments should be made directly through the restoration practice. In this study, within the scope of the restoration work applied to Atatürk's Funeral Photo Album, a restoration work was evaluated according to the restoration purpose and principles. The purpose of the album restoration study was analyzed according to Caple's RIP triangle model. In addition, important decisions taken within the scope of the study; Compliance with the 4 basic restoration principles of Sustainability, Authenticity, Minimal Intervention and Reversibility has been examined.
