Özet
Tarih boyunca kadın imgesi, içinde yer aldığı kültürün bakış açısına paralel olarak biçimlendirilmiştir. Toplumsal yapı içinde kadına biçilen roller, kadın olma durumunun inanç sistemleri çerçevesinde değerlendirilmesi, ataerkil toplum yapıları içinde kadının ikinci sınıf olarak görülmesi gibi tüm olumsuz bakış açıları sanatta da karşılığını bulmuştur. Özellikle dini bağlamda kadının ilk günahın müsebbibi olarak görülmesi düşüncesi ve inancının etkisiyle ötekileştirilmiş olması fikri onun toplum içindeki konumunu da belirlemiştir. Fakat 1789 Fransız ihtilalinden başlanarak kadının toplumsal statüsü tartışılmaya açılmıştır. Ancak 1960’ların başı, 1970’lerin sonu ve 1980’lerden itibaren üç dalga halinde toplumsal yaşamda kendine yer bulan feminizm hareketi ile kadınlar sanat başta olmak üzere hayatın tüm alanında kendisine biçilen rolleri tartışma, başkaldırmaya, hakları için mücadele etmeye başlamışlardır. Bu makalede toplumun kültürel bir yansıması olan sanatsal yaratımlar da kadınların cinsel bir seyirlik obje olarak metalaştırılması kavramı üzerinde durulmuştur. Tarihi süreç boyunca kadına biçilen sosyal statü ve rollerin sanat eserlerine yansıması Rönesans’tan günümüze kadar kadın imgesi ele alınmıştır. Makale görsel araştırma yöntemleri ve literatür araştırması ile hazırlanmıştır.

Abstract
Throughout history, the image of woman has been shaped in parallel with the perspective of the culture in which it is located. All negative perspectives, such as the roles assigned to women in the social structure, the evaluation of being a woman within the framework of belief systems, and the fact that women are seen as second class in patriarchal social structures, have found their counterparts in art. Especially in the religious context, the idea that the woman is seen as the culprit of the original sin and the idea that she is marginalized by the effect of her belief has also determined her position in the society. However, starting from the 1789 French Revolution, the social status of women was opened to discussion. However, with the feminism movement, which has found its place in social life in three waves since the beginning of the 1960s, the end of the 1970s and the 1980s, women have started to argue about their roles in all areas of life, especially in art, to rebel and to fight for their rights. In this article, the concept of commodification of women as a sexual spectacle object in artistic creations, which is a cultural reflection of society, is emphasized. The reflection of the social status and roles assigned to women throughout the historical process on the works of art has been discussed from the Renaissance to the present day. The article has been prepared with visual research methods and literature research.
