Abstract


Analysis of Teachers’ Behavior on Children’s Rights Based on the Views of Junior High and High School Students
Children's rights are part of the individual liberties. The present study aimed to analyze the behavior of junior high and high school teachers on children's rights based on the views of the students. The study was conducted with descriptive survey model. A Personal Information Form and a Likert-type survey form developed by Dagli (2015) under the consultancy of Prof. Dr. Semra Ünal was used to collect the study data. The study group included 231 junior high and 251 high school, a total of 482 students. The data were collected in classroom environment and then analyzed in computer environment. Data analysis was conducted with percentage and frequency distributions. The study findings demonstrated that teachers generally observed children's rights in general according to the junior high school students, and high school students stated that teachers exhibited inconsistent behavior on children's rights. The findings are discussed based on the literature.
