Abstract
Bibliometric Analysis of Studies on Agro Tourism
The purpose of this research is to conduct a bibliometric analysis of studies in the field of agro tourism, aiming to comprehensively assess the existing academic literature. Utilizing the VOSviewer software, the study provides opportunities for in-depth analysis of datasets through visualization, mapping, and multidimensional analysis capabilities. In the context of this study, a search using the keyword "agro tourism" under the "subject" category in the Web of Science database resulted in 502 outcomes. Access was obtained to a total of 329 journal articles from various disciplines, 3 editorial contents, 20 book chapters, 1 book review, 160 conference papers, 4 preprints, and 15 review articles. Upon examination of different disciplines, a substantial majority of the studies were found to be affiliated with environmental sciences (84), environmental studies (68), agricultural economics and policies (64), economics (59), and hospitality, leisure, sport, and tourism (54) domains. The data has been meticulously scrutinized through author-citation, journal-country-institution, and keyword analyses. It is hoped that this study will identify gaps in the existing literature and facilitate the creation of innovative research opportunities to enhance scholarly contributions within the field of agro tourism.
