Abstract
A Focus Group Discussion Aiming to Determine Tourist Guide Candidates' Satisfaction with 2020-Field Trip Organized by the Union of Turkish Tourist Guides Chamber
In this study, it is aimed to determine the satisfaction levels of the guide candidates who participated in the domestic field trip. The study group comprise of 11 students from Aydın Adnan Menderes University who participated in the field trip in February 2020. Two focus group meetings, before and after the trip, were held with the participants. The collected data were analyzed by content analysis technique. According to the findings, it was determined that although the participants had some problems during the application process, their expectations were met to a large extent during the trip. However, they were dissatisfied with some issues such as hotel, restaurant, and the intensity of the tour program. In the light of the findings, some suggestions were presented for future field trips and academic studies in this field.
