Abstract
EU Projects in Tourism Sector: TUYUP Project Sample
In Turkey, education, tourism, employment, economic development, and municipal projects in different areas such as preparation and financial support are provided for by the EU financial assistance programs and projects. The "Increasing the Adaptability of Employers and Employees in the Tourism Sector Project (TUYUP)" is a project for the development of human resources in the EU harmonization process, whose operating authority is the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policies and the beneficiary is the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The main purpose of the study is to examine the basic components, goals, objectives and outputs of TUYUP, to inform the stakeholders of the tourism sector, and to make suggestions for new projects to be made in the sector. For this reason, in the study, the ability of TUYUP to achieve its goals was evaluated. The research was conducted with a qualitative method document scanning technique. In line with the information obtained from the documents, the capacity of the project to reach its goals and its sustainability status were explored.
