Abstract
Perceptions of Foreign Tourists towards Environmental Pollution in Safranbolu
This study aims to identify the environmental pollution perceived by foreign tourists who visited Safranbolu, in the years of 2009, 2010, and 2011, and to determine the changes between years and among tourist groups in terms of environmental pollution. Research results have revealed the fact that tourists are the most disturbed by the billboards (23.08%) and air pollution (21.15%) in the city. Regarding both the years of visit and tourist groups, tourists were disturbed by traffic congestion. Besides the solar heating systems and satellite dishes has been causing visual pollution.
