A Qualitative Analysis of Health News in Izmir Written Press
The journalist who makes news about health aims to give all information about health completely and accurately to the public. The target audience of health news is quite wide and touches many individuals. Unless the ethical rules are violated, very useful information appears. Health readers may improve their lifestyle from news resources. Today, health news is not only in a style that attracts the attention of healthcare professionals, but it is a very valuable structure for every segment of the society. It is seen that health journalism in İzmir has an important audience in the print media despite potential problems. Although institutions do not exist in various fields of journalism, health journalism maintains its continuity. In this study, a review was made on health journalism by examining the newspapers affiliated to the Press Advertising Agency in İzmir.
