Abstract
Evaluation of Ayazini Ruins in Terms of Ecotourism
Immovable cultural assets, which are traces of the civilizations that located in Anatolia throughout the history, are the cultural heritage. Ayazini Ruins which is 32 kilometers far away from Afyonkarahisar-Eskisehir highway has been used as a settlement since the Phrygian period. In this area there are Roman and Byzantine rock tomb chambers, churches, castles and rock settlements. Ayazini Ruins is a significant cultural heritage in Turkey and has a high ecotourism potential. Particularly, routes can be developed by combining tourism activities such as cultural tours, trekking, cycling, plant and bird observation, adventure nature sports therefore, tourism activities in the area can be diversified.
