The traces of Mediterranean architecture in the housing pattern in the city are visible in the use of saddle vaults and construction system. The impact on the houses of the use of local materials, topography, economic activities, cultural interactions, traditional construction systems, human needs and lifestyle are seen in the settlement. The reason why Plomari Houses have been preserved for a long time despite not being under protection is that their ownership has remained with the same families for years.
