Abstract
Deconstruction and Postmodern Practices in Art
One of the important philosophers of poststructuralist philosophy, Jacques Derrida's ideas based on deconstruction have been influential in the conceptual and formal development process of the postmodern art understanding. Derrida, who wanted to develop a new philosophical discourse with her studies on the text, also created the most important foundations that inspired the emergence of postmodern approaches in art. Poststructuralism and Derrida's views on the text in this direction emerge as an effective source in the process of revealing the basic views that are the source of the postmodernist art understanding. Derrida's philosophical views, which spread to different disciplines thus word, text, literature, painting, sculpture and photography respectively; It constitutes an important research area that should be examined in terms of being the factors affecting and directing art. Literature review and document analysis methods were used in the study, which was carried out to clarify Derrida's philosophy based on deconstruction and the application forms in art. In line with the views of Derrida and deconstruction-based philosophy, which emphasize the ambiguous structure of reality and claim that an absolute reality cannot be possible; The aim of the research is to address postmodernism and to reveal concrete art examples in this context.
