Bibliometric Profile of Studies on Airbnb
Applications emerging within the scope of the sharing economy can provide various advantages to individuals in terms of service purchases. There is also a place for such applications in the tourism sector In particular, the motivation of the local people to earn income from the tourism industry increases the importance of the applications within the scope of the sharing economy. Airbnb application provides accommodation for tourists according to their budgets. Thus, thanks to the Airbnb application, it is easier for each individual to participate in tourism. The Airbnb application provides tourists with accommodation in a place according to their budget, and also provides the local people with the opportunity to earn tourism income from the house they own. In this respect, this application provides various advantages to both tourists and local people. This study covers the studies on Airbnb in Turkey. In the study, it is aimed to reveal the bibliometric profile of the studies on Airbnb. Accordingly, bibliometric analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, has been used in this study. The findings obtained after the analysis have been shared with tables and figures. After the findings were written, the study has been completed by writing the conclusion and recommendations part.
