Abstract
Analysis of Tourism Types with the Word Cloud: Case of Karakocan District
Karakoçan district is home to more than one type of tourism with its historical, cultural and human resources. In this study, it is aimed to determine the prominent tourism types in Karakoçan district. In order to achieve this target, interviews were held with 21 participants residing in Karakoçan district. The interviews were conducted face to face with the local people living in Karakoçan district between 14.01.2022 and 23.01.2022. The interviews with each participant, who were given an alphabetic code on the basis of confidentiality, lasted between 20 and 40 minutes. The data obtained as a result of the interviews were transferred to the Word program in computer environment. Afterwards, the most frequently used expressions regarding the prominent tourism types and natural, cultural and human resources in Karakoçan district were determined and analyzed with a word cloud. As a result of the study, the three most important tourism types in the district are health and thermal, nature and faith tourism, respectively; It has been determined that the three important elements that stand out among natural, cultural and human resources are the Golan Hot Springs, Bağin Hot Springs and Sülbus Mountain.
