Abstract
Bibliometric Analysis of Cultural Heritage Tourism Studies with Visual Mapping Technique
The aim of this study is to reveal the current scientific status of research on “cultural heritage tourism” in the Scopus database with a systematic literature review. For this purpose, articles on cultural heritage tourism written in the field of social sciences between 1980-2021 (February) were analyzed using bibliometric methods, using Vosviewer and R software. The sample of the research consists of 755 articles with "cultural heritage tourism" in the title, abstract and keywords of the articles in the journals scanned in the Scopus database. Co-occurrence analysis, co-citation analysis and descriptive data analysis about general information on the identified publication were made. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the most studies on the subject were conducted in 2019 (105 articles) and that Sustainability journal included the highest number of studies (165) on this subject. In addition, the trends were visualized with the keyword network, co-citation collaboration network and cross-country cooperation network. It is thought that the results of the research will be useful for researchers working in the field of tourism in terms of showing the trends and the main lines of the subject.
