Özet
Bu araştırmada üniversite öğrencileri perspektifinden Sinop ili destinasyon imajının ortaya çıkarılması amaçlanmıştır. Sinop ili destinasyonuna ilişkin olumlu ve olumsuz yönlerin ortaya çıkarılması hedeflenmiştir. Bu kapsamda 501 üniversite öğrencisinden anket tekniği ve kolayda örneklem yöntemi kapsamında veri toplanmıştır. Öğrencilerden toplanan verilerinin analizi sonucunda Sinop destinasyonu için öğrencilerin imaj algısında şehir güvenliği, tarihi ve coğrafi değer, şehir halkı, sağlık, konaklama ve temizlik imkanları, ulaşım imkanları, kültür, sanat ve spor etkinlikleri ve eğlence ve alışveriş imkanları önceliğinde olmak üzere yedi boyutta ulaşılmıştır. Öğrencilerin genel olarak Sinop şehri imaj algısı ortalaması ise ??¯ =2,78 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda görülmüştür ki öğrenciler Sinop şehrini tarihi ve coğrafi değer yönünden görülmeye değer çok sakin ve güvenli bir şehir olarak görmekle birlikte şehir halkı, sağlık, konaklama ve temizlik imkanları, ulaşım imkanları, kültür, sanat ve spor etkinlikleri ve eğlence ve alışveriş imkanları yönünden yeterli düzeyde bulmamaktadır.

Abstract
This study was aimed to find out the destination image of Sinop from the perspective of university students. Besides, it is aimed to reveal the positive and negative aspects of Sinop province. In this context, data were collected from 501 university students by questionnaire technique and convenience sampling method. As a result of the analysis of the data, it is determined that the destination image perception of students for Sinop consists of seven dimensions, such as city security, historical and geographical value, locals, health, accommodation and cleaning facilities, transportation facilities, culture, art, and sporting events, entertainment and shopping opportunities. The average perception of the Sinop destination image was determined as ??¯ =2.78. As a result of the study, it is seen that the students think that Sinop is a place of interest in terms of historical and geographical value. Moreover, although it was determined that students found Sinop to be a very quiet and safe city, it was considered insufficient in terms of locals, health, accommodation and cleaning facilities, transportation facilities, culture, art, and sporting events, entertainment and shopping opportunities.
