Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility due to Covid-19: An Investigation of Firms in Turkey
Due to the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19, this study aims to identify how businesses have helped those staying in the areas where businesses operate and where the state requested that people stay in their homes in Turkey. This study emphasizes the importance of the campaigns carried out by these companies to the people who were adversely affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, both financially and morally, to the needy, and to the sense of customer loyalty that creates awareness of the company image using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) studies. The CSR studies they carried out in order to provide financial and moral support to society were examined. A literature review method was used in the research. The social responsibility studies of businesses operating in different sectors were selected by a purposive sampling method for the state and society during the Covid-19 pandemic process. During the Covid-19 pandemic, private organizations operating in many different sectors took responsibility and conducted studies for the benefit of society. Companies producing white goods, textiles, fuel/oil, transportation, accommodation, online shopping, beverages, and other holdings have carried out social responsibility activities in this process, either as cash, donations, or by shifting their production towards new necessities.
