Abstract


The Positioning of Evil in Social Life and Social Media: Konya Sample
Evil has always existed in human life and is a problem that will continue to exist. Many opinions have been put forward on the problem of evil. Some argue that evil is innate, while others state that the society in which makes people worse. Today's technological possibilities have accelerated the spread of evil. Internet and social media are triggers for this spread. People can now use abusive, derogatory and marginalizing statements about other people they have never faced through the internet and social media. This study was carried out to reveal how people living in the city center of Konya positioning the evil by using social life and social media. In the study, field research method was used and the data were obtained by using internet and telephone. According to the research results, women position themselves as a better person than men. A significant number of the participants stated that they do not make any malicious statements on social media. Again, a significant number of the participants in the research stated that they found the posts that humiliate (deteriorate) different political views.
