Abstract


The Problems Faced by Students Participating in the Erasmus Program and Their Proposed Solutions: Karabük University Sample
This study investigates the problems faced by undergraduate students participating in the Erasmus Exchange Program and studying abroad for a semester or a year as well as their proposed solutions to these problems. A total of 12 participants from Karabük University took part in the study, which was conducted by using both qualitative and phenomenological methods. Criterion sampling and maximum variation were simultaneously applied to determine the participants of the study. Research data were gathered through semi-structured interviews formed by the research group, and the cumulative data were analyzed by means of the content analysis method. The research is currently at the stage of data accumulation. After the data are gathered, they will be analyzed by content analysis. Then, themes and codes will be identified. The results of this study will be discussed in association with the relevant literature and some suggestions will be offered.
