Abstract
Military Perspective towards Total Quality Management: Total Quality Leadership
One of the most important contribution of Total Quality Management (TQM) is Total Quality Leadership (TQL). In this regard serious efforts have been made and practices been developed in the last 30 years. Especially in The U.S. Navy, TQL is the core of leader trainning of Battle Supporting and Battle Supporting & Service units, engaged in manufacturing and providing services. In this study, the concept of TKL is examined in a descriptive research methodology and findings of earlier studies in the literature are shared. Then, the characteristics, basic concepts and the four pre-conditions of TQL are examined/ interpreted from the military perspective. Finally, TQL is examined according to the specific sides of Turkish Armed Forces and contributional aspects are stated.
