Abstract
The Effects of Legal Awareness against Mobbing from the Point of Teachers
In this study, the psychological harassment (mobbing) concept, the conditions of psychological harassment in public organizations, in the case of harrassment how teachers cope with that, what kind of legal actions they can take or what kind of legal actions they are aware of, and the role of awareness in order to reduce the effect of mobbing are examined. Besides whether there is a significant difference between legal awareness or legal actions against mobbing,and also if there are differences in the reduction of the effect of mobbing according to their years of seniority. The sample of the research consists of the secondary school teachers in Araç, a city of Kastamonu province. The quantitative data were obtained by a structured questionnaire and data were analyzed using statistical methods for social sciences. Findings show that teachers are aware of the legal actions against mobbing, some legal actions they take are useful in order to reduce the harrassment.
