The coronavirus epidemic has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization, and it is a very important problem. Due to this epidemic, education was interrupted in our country as in other countries and measures were taken to provide distance education until the threat has passed. The disease has serious consequences in education apart from its threats to human health. Based on the fact that an important issue such as education cannot be ignored, there are some hesitations regarding both the infrastructure problems and the duration of distance education. Considering the dimensions of the hazard, the opinions of teachers, who the stakeholders of education are, how the process will work, how long it will take and what its possible consequences will be is extremely important. Based on the fact that these risks are gradually increasing, the present study was conducted to find out the effective position of educators and their awareness about distance education. In order to achieve this aim, a semi-structured interview form prepared with expert opinions was used in relation to the coronavirus epidemic and the distance education concept and process.
