Abstract
Investigation of Thematic Exhibition and Event Structures of Expo Organizations in the Context of Tourism Potentials: Examples of 21st Century Expos
Expo organizations are global events dedicated to finding solutions to key challenges facing humanity through engaging and immersive events within a chosen theme. These organizations, which are held at regular intervals, are unrivaled platforms in terms of their potential to bring together countries, international organizations and millions of visitors. In addition to helping to shape and develop a nation's image and reputation, Expos have an important place in raising awareness of the host country and international participants. The innovative architecture of the Expo areas, the interactive exhibitions in the thematic pavilions, the cultural programs and events make the Expos an enjoyable and interesting experience for visitors and allow different cultures to meet. In this study, Expo organizations are analyzed in the context of their impact on the tourism potential of the cities where they are held, and in this context, the thematic exhibition and event structures of the Expos are examined. As a result of the data obtained from the study, it is concluded that the thematic structures built within the Expo organizations can increase the tourism potential of the region. Therefore, it is anticipated that such data will be guiding in terms of comprehending the potential of Expo organizations in tourism investments.
