Abstract
The Adventure from the Beginning to the Present of Uşak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival
The primary goal of short film directors is to reach as many as possible. For this purpose, film festivals have a very important place for directors. The participation of a short film in the festival or receiving an award positively affects not only the director but also the future of the short films. Short film festivals, which have become traditional, especially in terms of recognition, have an important place for the director as possible. For this reason, it is the traditional festivals that short film directors prefer most. In line with this thought, our research; The Uşak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival, which has become tradition and is known very quickly, has examined the structure of the beginning to the present. Before making an evaluation about the festival, the film and short films were promoted. In addition, the structural process of short film festivals and short film festivals in Turkey were discussed. Then, the stages of the Uşak Winged Seahorse Short Film Festival, which constitutes the main subject of our research, from 2014 to the present day, its difficulties, the support it received and the opportunities it provided to the filmmakers were stated. Additionally, its contribution to the city of Uşak has been examined. In the research, the reasons why the festival is so popular are also mentioned. The future of the festival and the general evaluation took place in the result section.
